Case 38-2020: A 52-Year-Old Man with Cancer and Acute Hypoxemia


A 52-year-old man with back pain was admitted to the hospital with a vertebral mass, multiple lytic bone lesions, and severe hypercalcemia. MRI showed an enhancing, marrow-replacing mass involving the T1 vertebral body. On the fifth hospital day, the oxygen saturation decreased acutely. A diagnosis was made.
